Classes Available

Introduction to Welding $350 Includes 4 hour Safety Orientation

This is a 16 hour class

This course will cover safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Welding principles and equipment. You will get to try FCAW and GMAW There will be hands on practice and the opportunity to work on a project of your own. This will be a requirement for other classes.

 

Introduction to SMAW (Stick) Welding $200

This is an 8 hour class

You will get to try the SMAW (Stick) process on mild steel practice materials or even a personal project within reason.

 

Introduction to GTAW (Tig) Welding $350

This is an 8 hour class

You will get to try the GTAW process on mild/stainless steel practice materials or even a personal project within reason.

 

Advanced GMAW (Mig) Welding $550

This is a 16 hour class

You will get to try more advanced techniques involving stainless and aluminum and the various gasses involved on a variety of practice materials or even a personal project within reason.

 

Advanced GTAW (Tig) Welding $550

This is a 16 hour class

You will get to try more advanced techniques involving stainless and aluminum. AC/DC processes and remote controls.

 

Individual development sessions will be available in 4 or 8 hour sessions costs dependant on equipment required. (These can be used to fulfill continuity requirements for certifications held)

 

Certification Path Courses

 

Structural Flux Core FCAW Welding $2750 Includes 4 hour Safety Orientation

This is a 64 hour class

You will get to use the Shielded Flux Core process with various shielding gasses with the goal of passing one of the Code Certifications. This is one of the primary processes currently used for Structural, Boiler and Pipe welds. Certification testing will be on last 8 hour session.

 

Structural/ASME SMAW (Stick) Welding $3250 Includes 4 hour Safety Orientation

This is an 80 hour class

SMAW is still the primary process used in the field for structural, boiler and pipe welds. You will get to use the SMAW process with the goal of passing one of the Code Certifications. Certification Testing will be on the last 8 hour session.

GMAW (Mig) Welding $2750 Includes 4 hour Safety Orientation

This is a 64 hour class

You will get to use the GMAW process with the goal of passing one of the Code Certifications. GMAW is the most common process used in Sheet Metal, Fab Shops and Automotive Repair. This is probably the most versatile process with applications for carbon steels, stainless steels, aluminum, and even some exotic materials.

 

GTAW (Tig) Welding $3500 Includes 4 hour Safety Orientation

This is an 80 hour class

You will get to use the GTAW process with the goal of passing one of the Code Certifications.

GTAW is used in almost every industry. It is the premier skill for a welder to have. It is used in Energy Piping, Automotive, Sheet Metal, Custom Fabrication of every kind. It has applications for carbon steels, stainless steels, aluminum and just about every weldable exotic material in existence. This is also the process requiring the most skill and experience.

 

Each student in a Certification Path Class will have the opportunity to perform 1 test on the last 8 hour session and have it evaluated for certification. Students can opt for more than 1 at additional expense.

Career Path Courses

Industry Specific course combinations

 

Pipe welder – A combination of GTAW/SMAW to qualify you to work on everything from HVAC to Nuclear Steam systems $8250  Includes 4 hour Safety Orientation.

This is a 224 hour class

This class will cover Basic Pipe Fitting, Welding in Positions, Various Code Requirements, Chrome and Stainless welding.

 

Plate Welder – A combination of SMAW/FCAW to qualify you to work in the Structural/Boiler fields.  $7500 Includes 4 hour Safety Orientation.

This is a 180 hour class

This class will cover Cutting and Fitting carbon steel, Welding in Positions, Various Code Requirements.

 

Fabricator/Automotive – A combination of GMAW/GTAW focusing on thinner materials. $7500 Includes 4 hour Safety Orientation

This is a 180 hour class

This Class will cover Cutting, Fitting and Welding Steel and Aluminum in a number of forms.

 

Each Student in a Career Path Class will have the opportunity to perform 2 Procedures with more available at additional expense. Certification/Career Path Students will also have 6 months to take additional tests at the Development Session/Procedure Test cost.
